Gordon Catton commences production of replacement brake cables along with his brothers Eddie, Tony and Clive.
1962
The company moves to larger premises in Livery Street, Birmingham and was joined by more family members Terry, Anne and John.
1989
Catton Wire Industries Ltd formed to supply domestic and European motoring organisations with repair kits.
1994
ISO Accreditation was awarded.
2000
Additional manufacturing premises are taken on in Tyseley, Birmingham which made the company fully self-sufficient.
1952
Gordon Catton starts trading as G R Catton Autos manufacturing turned parts in Summer Row, Birmingham.
1958
Reginald Catton joins his sons and forms Catton Accessories Ltd.
1972
Due to growth the company moves to its current main manufacturing facility in Kings Road, Birmingham.
1983
The third generation starts with Nick joining and followed by his brother Rich in 1985.
1993
Company changed its name to Catton Control Cables Ltd which reflected the products the company made.
2022
The fourth generation starts with Sam Catton joining, the legacy continues.
